The Monroe City Library is located in the City Hall/Library Complex located at 109 Second Street in Monroe City, Missouri. Their telephone number is (573) 735-4585 option 4. Library Hours are 11:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The library is a department of the City but is governed by a fully autonomous board that is appointed by the City Council. The Library Board meets on the third Monday evening every other month at 6:30 P.M. at the Library. The Library offers:

The Library has a book club that meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
